In the video: guest speaker part3, I heard that the speaker on the screen was talking about google’s self-driving car. This issue let me remember a news I watched in January.
The news said that in the United States, some people drove their own car to attack Waymo self-driving test car. It put the testers in the car under threat to their lives. Many people spoke out that they didn’t want Artificial Intelligence to replace human. Although I think the self-driving cars are quite impressive, in a short period of time still can’t let general public or professional driver to accept.
Actually, I am very interested in self-driving car, since I’m not the person that is good at controlling the machines. Even if it is a computer, I have to spend more time than others learning how to use it.
But I have been thinking about one thing. If self-driving car can really be used in the future, how do we process the car accident cases? Unexpected events would happen in any cases. So, if the driver is not a person, who should be punished? The cars? Or the company which manufacture the car you used? The reason is the self-driving system they create is not careful enough. I don’t think that is work, I even feel this reason is a little far-fetched. However, who knows what will happen in the future? Maybe this reason can really apply soon.
No matter what the concerns are, I still want to have a self-driving car in the future.

With the develop of the business activity, people tend to buying or selling products on the internet all over the world nowadays. As the people in the video has mentioned, bitcoins, which is virtual currency, become one of ways of trading purpose.
We already know the benefits that e-commerce bringing is the convenience of doing business, however, the negative impacts still occur in society. The biggest risks of e-commerce is the information security. How to protect a clients’ personal information and the prevention of transaction information revealed is the crucial matters. Criminals would take advantages on it and it may cause severe damages on people.
All in all, technology bring human the pros and cons, it just depends on what you choose.

After watching the video, I heard about the WordPress, but I had no idea about what it is so I googled. And I know that it is a free and open-source content management system. You can set up a website for free. You can also design the theme as you want. I think it is very useful application for people to use. And I also heard about bitcoins. It’s a form of electronic cash. It is a digital currency without a central bank or single administrator that can be sent from user to user.
I want to share what I learned from the instructor:
If you miss the opportunity that means you don’t think out of the box.
You can be also be the one you want to be but you miss it. You don’t seize the chance when it comes to you. You may think that you don’t deserve that chance. But!! You are the one and only. You are unique. You are better than what you think about yourself. Actually, you can do a lot of things than you can imagine. There is a saying says, “Opportunity always reserved for those who are ready.” I also consider that opportunity always reserved for those who CHERISH them. This film is not just about E-commerce, but an important lesson for me. Thank you for giving such an awesome film.

Because of the advancement of technology and the demand for convenience of people, we have the e-commerce platform to make a transaction with others and don’t need to go outside. Moreover, we can use the e-commerce platform without money. It is not only convenient but also cost-effective for the amount of people and it also has lots of economy benefits behind these events. Beside, e-commerce platform means we can make a transaction on the Internet, so we can even make a transaction with people from other countries and don’t need to take an airplane to other places. These are all the benefits of e-commerce, but it also has some disadvantages. For example, when we make a transaction on the Internet, we can’t see the real products, so it may have a big difference between the photos on the platform and the real products. Therefore, we should see the feedback of other people and compare more sellers to make sure the quality of the products. To sum up, Technology gives us lots of convenience, but we also have to pay attention to avoid the bad sides.

After watching the video, I heard about Open Source Software. It works the same way as proprietary software, but the different is for free to use it. In addition, it can be better and more secure and less mistakes than proprietary software, because many users can modify the problems so that the software can be flawless. However, the disadvantage is the service from the software. Although you are free to use the system, but sometimes you have to buy the software in order to use the completed services. There are many Open Source Software such as Open Office, Firefox, 7-Zip and so on. As for me, the Open Source Software that I use is Audacity.
Audacity is music editor software, and it download for free and you can use many functions in it. Besides, Audacity is cross-platform software, it means you can use this software on different operating systems such as Mac Os X, Microsoft Windows, Linux and others. I think this software is very easy to use and you can do anything that you want. The best point is I don’t have to pay for any service, and I can create a fascinating rhythm.
To sum up, Open Source Software is the good way to choose, but sometimes it limits you to use some functions. It just depends on you.

In this video, the guest mentioned about open source, which we all heard of. However, not all of us know exactly what it is. Wikipedia defines this term as a product includes permission to use its source code, design documents, or content. I think the concept is brilliant because you can change the source to the very version that you need. I think it’s kind of like you customize your own product. What’s better is that you don’t have to start from nothing, because the code is provided. All you need to do is to change it slightly, which means it can save a lot of your time. Famous examples of open source softwares are LibreOffice, GIMP and so on. LibreOffice is the alternative version of MS Office. And GIMP is like free photoshop. The softwares above are users friendly and convenient. As time goes by, the technology and internet are both become more and more powerful. I think it’s a good phenomenon because with the advanced technology, we can create more possibilities and thus improve this world. I believe in the future, there must be more and more things that are related to electronic. Because trace back to 19th century, the first computer was designed, until now, we have already had a big leap.

I have a discovery that Bitcoin is a kind of virtual currency. Indeed, the world becomes intimately related than before due to the improvement internet. Now, our way of transaction is different from traditional cash trade. More and more people like to use cryptocurrency to make much money. Since there are many advantages brought by Bitcoin. It can not only remit money to others country conveniently but also protected by passwords with special design named P2P. But everything is a double-edge sword. It also have disadvantages of investment risk, such as fragile trading platform, fluctuation in price and so on. Many people bankrupt overnight because of Bitcoin fall down sharply.
In my opinion, cryptocurrency will become the trend in the future. Owing to it can use widely on various fields. It can combine with e-commerce. Even though it still presence avoidable risk, I think maybe we can find a better way to solve these problems. And let’s except that day coming.

In this video, I heard that you are talking about using open source software to build a website for free. I think this is a good idea for people who want to start a business by themselves but not have enough money to do so.
By using open source software, they can build a website that can introduce what they do or what they sell, or the main functions of their products, and they don’t need to pay for it. It means that they can advertise their products or services free and widely, due to that the internet is everywhere nowadays.
We are living in a high-tech era now, and we can use internet to do many things that we cannot do before. It brings us convenience indeed, but we still have to know that sometimes internet can brings some troubles. Like WordPress, an open source software for building websites, it is really a convenient software to use for many people, but the biggest disadvantage of it is their safety problem. So, when we decide to use internet to do something, we should be careful for it.

In the beginning, the video is about to discuss consulting business and building website.
The guest, Eddie suggested that they can use the e-commerce platform to build an website. It’s good to create one yourself but if you really want to make money from it, you had better use an open source to save your time. By the way, Eddie always use open source. Open source is a softwarethat people create software for public use, which you can download for costing you a few dollars. For an example, lots of companies bought Microsoft for companies use. These open source can sometimes be free or only cost you a few dollars, but it’s really convenient. If you design a software, you can either let other people download it for free or make some money. Nowadays, online shopping is getting more and more popular. Lots of stores and companies are also starting to use e-commerce to help improve the efficiency. Such as 7-11, you can use an app to pay for your spendings without cash.

In this video, the speaker mentioned something about applications which can be download for free. This makes me so curious that a question just came into my mind: How would people allow everyone to download their applications for free, after they had spent so much time and effort on them? Let us not talk about those applications which are made for charitable used. I mean, apparently people put so much effort to create an application, a game for example, they would very much hope to earn money with it. However, there are so many free applications in app store. I myself will not even download an application that is not free-downloaded. Here comes the question: How can people make money, if they decide not to charge for the applications they made?
For this I have done some search. It turns out that free applications can really earn money! That is so cool. I found some important strategies for people who want to make money by developing free applications: 1.Understand the users. 2.Understand the competition. 3.In-app purchases and advertisements. 4.The art of subtlety. By following these strategies, perhaps someday I could develop my own free applications and start a business as well!

According to the video, the speaker on the screen had mentioned “bitcoin” several times. I had no idea about it, so I searched for it on Internet. Browsing so many websites and information, I understand bitcoin is a kind of virtual currency, and we can earn bitcoin by “mining” it. Moreover, bitcoin has been a way of transaction in some countries. However, it is also criticized for its use in illegal transactions.
E-commerce has become so popular in this generation; nevertheless, is it perfect and has no drawbacks? Or is it safe in using? Clearly, the answer tends to be no. Take bitcoin for an example, it is a new way of transaction, it is convenient and hackers have no chance to hack it, but, meanwhile, it becomes a new criminal tool. Everything has the pros and cons. Thanks to E-commerce, our lives are getting more and more convenient and efficiency. We can shop online rather than go outside and walk all day just for some clothes or groceries. Businessmen can communicate with their customers and speed up the work. E-commerce benefits us a lot; however, how to use it in an appropriate way, and how to protect our personal information when we are using the Internet? It is worthwhile for us to think about this kind of questions.

Along with the development of the platform of E-Commerce, people are allowed to shop online more easily now. People find that they can not only sell their things more quickly, but find what they want more simply. The development of platform play an important role in E-Commerce. Because, basically, E-Commerce is built on the Internet. I think they complement each other well. Shopee is a good example. It’s an E-Commerce platform which launched in Singapore first in 2015, and expanded its reach to Taiwan and other Southeast Asia countries in 2017. Just like all of E-Commerce platform in Taiwan, Shopee provide a platform for the consumers. But the reason it take a big success and even take down the E-Commerce market in Taiwan is because its simple interface. People are getting more and more impatient nowadays, so the first look of one platform will decide its fate. And Shopee did. Due to the mobile and social element built within the concept, Shopee was described as one of the “5 disruptive ecommerce startups we saw in 2015” by Tech In Asia.
Hence, I think if we want to pursue a career in E-Commerce, we need to both focus on the trend of E-Commerce and think about the way we provide it.

In this video, I heard a word “WordPress”. At the beginning, I did not know what WordPress was. However, after I listened to what the teacher said about WordPress, I had a basic understanding for WordPress. It is a free and open source software which has Content Management System. If you are a newcomer to create websites, WordPress may be your best choice, so everyone can use it to build a new website easily. I also heard about Bitcoin. Bitcoin is an innovative payment network and a new kind of money. It is an easy way to transact at a very low price. Bitcoin transactions are secured by military-grade cryptography. Nobody can take your money or make a payment on your behalf.
Before watching this video, I have never heard WordPress and Bitcoin. Now, I understand what they are. Both WordPress and Bitcoin are a kind of e-commerce. Because of the development of the Internet, people create many applications about e-commerce. It is very easy and convenient to use them. There is a sentence that impressed me. “If you miss the opportunity that means you don’t think out of the box.” Sometimes you have to think out of the box, and you will come up with better ideas!
